【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverlinedinteriorstandpipefirehoseinthe1-1/2and2-1/2inchsizesthatisintended:a)Forfire-protectionpurposesonly;b)ForusewithinsidestandpipesinstalledinaccordancewiththeStandardfortheInstallationofStandpipeandHoseSystems,NFPA14;c)Foruseonhoseracksandreelsandincabinetswherethespecificcombinationofhoseandrack,reel,orcabinethasbeeninvestigatedandfoundacceptable;d)Towithstandinfrequentservice;ande)Tobeperiodicallyinspectedandmaintainedwhileinservice,asoutlinedintheStandardfortheCare,UseandServiceTestingofFireHoseIncludingConnectionsandNozzles,NFPA1962.1.2The1-1/2inchsizehoseisintendedforuseprimarilybythebuildingoccupantsforthecontrolofincipientfiresuntilthearrivalofthefiredepartment;thatis,forClassIIServiceasdefinedintheStandardfortheInstallationofStandpipeandHoseSystems,NFPA14.1.3The2-1/2inchsizehoseisintendedforusebyfiredepartmentsandthosetrainedinhandlinglargewaterstreamsrequiredduringthemoreadvancestagesoffireontheinsideofbuildingsorforexposurefireprotection,thatis,forClassIServiceasdefinedintheStandardfortheInstallationofStandpipeandHoseSystems,NFPA14.1.4Theserequirementsdonotcovercouplingsnortheirmethodofattachment.1.5Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthoseinusewhenthestandardwasdevelopedandthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintainthelevelofsafetyfortheuseroftheproductasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.
