【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminethefilteringefficiencyandtheflowrateofageotextileusedexclusivelyinsiltfenceorsiltbarrierapplication.Note1-Thetermssiltfenceandsiltbarrierareusedsynonomously.1.1.1Theresultsareshownasapercentageforfilteringefficiencyandcubicmetrespersquaremetreperminute(m/m/min)orgallonspersquarefootperminute(gal/ft/min)forflowrate.1.1.2Thefilteringefficiencyindicatesthepercentofsedimentremovedfromsediment-ladenwater.1.1.3Theflowrateistheaveragerateofpassageofthesediment-ladenwaterthroughthegeotextile.1.2Thistestmethodrequiresseveralspecializedpiecesofequipment,suchasanintegratedwatersamplerandananalyticalbalance,andsitespecificsoilfromtheconstructionproject.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsarethestandard,whiletheinch-poundunitsareprovidedforinformation.Thevaluesexpressedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
