【摘要】:APrivateIntegratedServiceNetwork(PISN)isanetworkcomprisingeitheronePINXormorethanonePINXinterconnectedbyInter-PINXconnections.ThisTechnicalReportisconcernedwithinter-PINXconnections(IPC)thatareprovidedbyInterveningNetworks(IVN),andthewayinwhichthesearehandledbyPINXstoprovideaplatformforinter-PINXcommunication.DifferenttypesofIVNscanbeusedtoprovideIPCs,inaccordancewiththescenariosindicatedinISO/IEC11579-1.TheseareOverlayScenariosinthattheyenabletheservicesofthePISNtooperatetransparentlyacrossanIVN.ConnectedPINXsneedtoco-ordinatetheiruseofIVNs,andappropriatestandardisationisneededtoallownetworkstobecreatedemployingPINXsandIVNsfrommultiplevendors.Thefollowingpointsneedtobeconsidered:—IngeneralbutdependingonthetypeofIVN,proceduresandsignallingprotocolsbetweenthePINXsareneededfortheestablishment,maintenanceandreleaseofIPCs.Appropriatestandardisationoftheseproceduresandsignallingprotocolsisnecessary.—AttheQreferencepoint(aconceptualpointwithinaPINX)channelsandPISNcallcontrolsignalling(QSIG)aredefinedindependentlyofthetypeofIVN.However,attheCreferencepoint(wherethePINXisconnectedtotheIVN),therepresentationofthechannelsandofsignallingisdependentonthetypeofIVN,andonhowthePINXsusetheIPCs.AppropriatestandardisationoftheseaspectsattheCreferencepointisnecessary.—IngeneraltherelationshipbetweenachannelattheQreferencepointanditsrepresentationattheCreferencepointisnotstatic,andproceduresandsignallingbetweenthePINXsareneededfortheco-ordinationoftheserelationships.Appropriatestandardisationoftheseproceduresandsignallingisnecessary.—Appropriatemechanismsneedtobestandardisedforconveyinginter-PINXsignallingthroughtheIVN.ThesewilldependonthecharacteristicsoftheIPCused.TheaimofthisTechnicalReportistoidentify:1.InadditiontoPISNcallcontrolsignalling(QSIG),whatneedstobestandardised,inordertobeabletointer-connectPINXs;2.Generaltechniques,procedures,protocolsetc.,thatapplytoofall(oratleastverymany)typesofIVNs.
